The Private Security Sector Provident Fund (PSSPF) cordially extends an invitation to the Private Security Employees as valued key stakeholders to participate in the 2017 PSSPF Members’ Information Sharing Sessions which will be held in all the provinces from 05 June to 04 August 2017.

The objective of these sessions is to enable the Fund’s Board of Trustees an opportunity to interact with the private security employees on the Fund’s initiatives to enhance the service rendered to members including initiatives that aim to address non-compliance by some employers. In addition, the Trustees will be introducing the New Board of Trustees and outline the Board’s plans on implementing of policy in managing the Fund.

Other issues that will be shared with the Fund’s stakeholders include:

  • Update on Member Benefits, Claim and Payment processes
  • The Fund’s obligation towards Members and Employers
  • Issuing of Benefit Statements
  • Issuing of Compliance Certificates and Exemption Certificates to Employers
  • Sector-wide Compliance collaboration efforts
  • Feedback on concerns raised during the 2016 Information Sharing Roadshows and action taken thereof to address those concerns
  • Stakeholder Engagement Initiatives to keep stakeholders abreast of developments in the Fund

 Other key stakeholders invited are the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA), Department of Labour(DOL) and the Commission of Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) to address issues facing employees in the private security sector.
